Workshop on Strategic Management in Healthcare Sector'
As a part of Industry Interface activities, GUNI-CMSR organized an expert session on ' Strategic Management in Healthcare Sector' for the students of MBA (Healthcare and Hospital Management) on 6th December, 2023, delivered by eminent personality from Shalby Hospital Dr. Surpriya Sarkar- Cluster Head, Shalby Hospitals, Surat. The session was organized virtually and students gained hands-on knowledge on how the healthcare sector is using strategic management for value creation for customers.
Objective of the Workshop on Strategic Management in Healthcare Sector
- Understanding Strategic Management Principles: To provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and frameworks of strategic management, specifically tailored to the healthcare sector.
- Application to Healthcare Context: To illustrate how these principles apply to the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry, including hospital management, policy implementation, and patient care optimization.
- Analyzing Real-World Case Studies: To engage students with real-world case studies that demonstrate successful and unsuccessful strategic management practices in healthcare organizations.
- Developing Strategic Thinking Skills: To enhance students’ ability to think strategically and critically about healthcare management, enabling them to craft effective strategies for healthcare organizations.
- Exploring Current Trends and Challenges: To explore contemporary issues and trends in healthcare that impact strategic decision-making, such as technological advancements, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
- Fostering Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills: To develop leadership qualities and problem-solving skills through interactive activities, group discussions, and scenario-based exercises.
